As a parent of 2 small children, I am always on the hunt for a fun activity for my kids to take part in. Since my son turned 18 months old, we have participated in various Toronto gymnastics classes and camps. Luckily for us parents, there are a lot of options for gymnastics in Toronto to choose from. Below is a list of some of the gymnastics offerings in Toronto to help you begin your search for a place that works best for your family.
Nearest Intersection: Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West
Starting age: 9 months for parent and tot classes and 3 years for parent free classes
Competitive classes: coming soon
If you live in the west end of Toronto and are looking for a recreational, family friendly gym for your children, High Junction Gymnastics is the perfect place for you. This gym offers classes starting as early as 9 months, which is amazing if you are looking for something to do with your baby! Classes are generally offered September- June. During the summer months this gym turns into an amazing summer camp for children JK and up. Both of my children have attended this gym and summer camp and I have nothing but amazing things to say about coach Suzi Hubler and her staff.
Nearest Intersection: Keele Street and St. Clair West.
Starting age: 8 months for parent and tot classes, 3 for solo classes only if potty trained
Competitive classes: yes
Located in the Stockyards complex in west Toronto, T-Dot Tumblers has been in operation since 2005 and recently moved to its new space. Originally a club opened for women’s competitive gymnastics, the club now offers classes to all genders in both recreational and competitive areas. Camp is available for winter and spring break, PA days and summer. This space also offers birthday party booking and even offer a once a month movie night where gymnasts can stay later and watch a movie while parents get much needed break!

Starting age: 16 months for parent and tot classes, 3 for kindergym classes
Competitive classes: yes
The East York Gymnastics Club has been in operation since 1949! Located in the East end of Toronto, this established gymnastics club offers a large variety of both recreational and competitive classes for boys and girls. Various camps are also available including summer camp for kids 4 and up. This 33,000 square foot facility also offers birthday parties!
Nearest Intersection: Danforth Avenue and Chester Avenue
Starting age: 1 year for parent and tot classes, 5 for kindergym classes
Competitive classes: no. Pre-competitive classes offered
Located close to Chester subway station, Riverdale Flip & Tumble is run by Sibylle Mueller-Ritter, a professional gymnastics teacher with over 30 years of experience. Parent and tot classes are offered to children 1-4 years old and solo gymnastics classes are offered to children 5-13 years old. March break and summer camps are offered and there is even an after school program that offers free pick up from the nearest elementary school!
Nearest Intersection: 2 Locations- Gerrard St. E and Broadview Avenue and Lawrence Ave E and Birchmount Rd.
Starting age: 36 months for parent and tot classes, 4 for solo classes
Competitive classes: yes
Toronto Premier Gymnastics has two locations; their main location located in Scarborough and their second location located in the east end, just north of Leslieville. The main gym boasts 10,000 square feet of space for its gymnasts. This is the location to attend if you are interested in the competitive side. Summer camp is offered to children 7 and up.

Starting age: 18 months for parent and tot, 3 for kindergym classes
Competitive classes: yes
Located in North York, Discovery Gymnastics offers both recreational and competitive gymnastics classes for children 18 months and up. The gym is over 12, 500 square feet and offers new equipment for those serious gymnasts! Currently only P.A. Day camps are offered, however birthday party bookings are offered every weekend.

Starting age: 18 months for parent and tot, 3 for solo classes
Competitive classes: yes
Gyros Gymnastics is located in the north end of the city and offers 4 sessions during their operating season. Gymnastics programs include recreational, acro and trampoline and competitive. Camps are available for March Break, Passover and Summer sessions for children 5 years and up. Birthday parties can be booked on the weekends or during lunch on a weekday.
