A Fun Urban Family Portrait Session in Toronto’s Liberty Village

Liberty-Village-Family-Portraits

I love when a client chooses to have their family photos in an urban setting. There are so many great spots in Toronto for this.   For this fun family, we settled on Liberty Village, in the west end of Toronto.  I love this neighbourhood for it’s cool older buildings and fun backdrops.  There are so many wonderful spots for fun photos.  From the Carpet Factory’s painted mural to the beautiful ivy covered buildings, the possibilities are endless.

I met up with the C family, from Oakville, on a warm September evening.  The sun was shining and we set out to explore the Liberty Village neighbourhood.

This green ivy covered wall on this iconic Liberty Village building was so beautiful and made such a great backdrop for this set of images.  I try to get a few shots of parents alone during my family sessions too!

The sun was getting lower here and I just love the light in this set of images.

I love a good action shot! Getting families to move always makes for some fun and natural looking images.  This might be my favourite image from their session!

As you can see, Liberty Village in Toronto’s west end is an awesome spot for family photos! You can dress up and look super glam or dress down and be super casual.  Families with smaller children may like this location too because we are constantly moving around so the kids don’t have a chance to get bored!
