As a mother of two small children , I understand just how quickly they grow up. One day they are babbling and the next they are saying "seriously, mom!". I also know how hard it is to be in the photos when you are the one taking them. Having photographic memories that you can look back on is such a treasure.
When choosing a photographer for your portrait session, it's important to select someone who will make you feel comfortable and at ease during your session. As your photographer, my number 1 goal is to ensure you enjoy your experience from start to finish. I will guide you every step of the way. I know it can feel intimidating do have your photo taken, so I make sure my sessions are as fun and light-hearted as possible. I will guide you and prompt you so that we can capture the authentic images that tell your family's unique story.

Once our super fun session is complete, you will receive your proofing gallery. After all of the ooooohing and ahhhhhing at the sight of your beautiful newborn images, you will select an images package from the collection options listed below!

When booking a maternity session with a newborn session, you will save $200! Maternity session pricing can be found here.
For example, if you purchased collection II for each session, the amount you would pay would be $700+$750=$1450-$200=$1250.
To receive the discount, you would need to pay the $200 session retainer for each session to secure your dates.

A Typical Session
Your newborn session will take place on a weekday morning starting at 10am in your home. I typically shoot in the nursery, main bedroom and living room. All I need is one window with good light and we are golden!
After our session, you will receive a private gallery with proofs of the best images from our time together. From there you will pick your collection. When you final images are delivered to you, you will have access to an online shop where you can purchase prints and custom artwork and heirloom albums.

I know not everyone has a selection of neutral newborn sized outfits (hello hand me downs!), so I've curated a selection of the sweetest neutral outfits that are available for you to borrow for your newborn session. All pieces are freshly laundered in a hypoallergenic detergent.
I also have a selection of neutral swaddle blankets that I bring to each session.
Let me help you prepare for your newborn session!
You might be wondering...
A. Given the lifestyle nature of my sessions, your baby can be up to one month old. Usually the babies I photography are under 2 weeks old. I recommend booking your session date once you have entered the second trimester to ensure I have space on my calendar to accommodate your due date.
A. In the comfort of your own home! I come to you. Easy peasy! You don't need a giant home or a pinterest worthy home. I have worked in all kinds of homes and I can assure you all the photos are equally beautiful. All we need is one good window and we are gold! Sessions start at 10 am on weekdays.
A. The session retainer secures your date and time in my calendar. I will turn all other clients away for that date. Once your session is complete and you have viewed your images, the retainer amount will be deducted from the total cost of the collection that you select.
A. I will send you a style guide to help you plan your outfits. Classic neutrals work great. Think light greys, creams, tan, softer colours. Stay away from too much black and super vibrant colours. Think about the colours in your home and how your outfits can compliment those. I also have a selection of beautiful newborn neutral pieces that you are welcome to borrow for your session!
A. It's easy peasy! once you have selected your image collection, I will send you a code to use in your cart at checkout. The credit will be applied to the total amount in your cart. So for example, if you receive the $400 artwork credit and order $600 worth of products, your total will be $200.
A. Me too! But here is the thing, I won't leave you hanging. Even though my sessions capture natural interactions, they are totally curated and I help guide you every step of the way. I help to pose you naturally and then offer prompts to get those authentic images.
